TERADOWEL is a cost-effective load transfer system for free-movement contraction joints in concrete floors designed for use with traditional methods of formed joint construction with timber formwork. They are suitable for building all types of ground-level floor slabs, such as jointed or jointless, ground-bearing and pile-supported concrete floors.

TERADOWEL and ULTRADOWEL are a discontinuous plate dowel load transfer systems providing load transfer during the construction of formed free-movement contraction joints. The systems permit free slab movements caused by drying shrinkage and thermal variations both longitudinally and perpendicularly to the slab plane, thereby eliminating the principal cause of shrinkage cracks at the joint and minimizing the vertical displacement of the slabs. It eliminates completely the risk of slab interlock, as often seen with conventional bar dowel load transfer system applications.

TERADOWEL and ULTRADOWEL are recommended to be used for joint openings of up to 20 mm and are suitable for construction of all types of ground-level floor slabs, such as jointed or jointless, ground-bearing and pile-supported concrete floors. The sleeves allow the dowels to move longitudinally for 10 mm in either direction. TERADOWEL and ULTRADOWEL are available in plain steel or hot-dip galvanized finish, for use in interior and exterior applications.
