KAPU® Safety Railing Sleeves are used for quick and safe attaching of temporary safety rail systems on concrete wall elements. KAPU® Safety Railing Sleeves are installed at the precast factory, and are available for use right away after the wall element has been installed and fixed in positon.
KAPU® Safety Railing Sleeve consists of a steel tube with welded stud anchoring which transfer the load from the safety railing to the concrete element. Four different models offer easy installation to the concrete element reinforcement.
Being pre-installed in the wall elements, KAPU® Safety Railing Sleeves offer effortless and fast guard rail installation on site.
KAPU® Safety Railing Sleeves are compatible with most common fall protection systems and tested according to requirements of EN 13374 for use during construction or maintenance of buildings and other structures in protection classes A and B.
It is also possible to use KAPU® Safety Railing Sleeve for fixing structural items with static load.
KAPU®-202 with two anchoring studs is suitable for structures where the Railing Sleeve is fixed straight to the outer surface of an inner concrete panel.
Protection class A without additional reinforcement.
Protection class B with additional reinforcement.
KAPU®-602 with two anchoring studs is suitable for structures where the fixing point of the edge protection must be raised to top level of the slab.
Protection class A without additional reinforcement.
Protection class B with additional reinforcement.
KAPU®-602+ has two anchoring studs and a horizontal rebar. It is used for elements where the rebar is anchored to the concrete edge lip or behind it.
Protection class A and B without additional reinforcement.
NOTE: For KAPU® 602+ transverse rebar length l1 = 300 mm, diameter d2 = 6 mm and distance from the
underside of the structural tube b2 = 450 mm.
KAPU®-403...KAPU®-803 with three anchoring studs is suitable for higher loads and structures where the fixing point of the edge protection must be raised to the top level of the slab. Available in standard tube lengths 400 mm, 500 mm, 600 mm, 700 mm and 800 mm. The length is defined according to the slab height.
Protection class A and B without additional reinforcement.
Protection cap to prevent the concrete to raise inside and fill the tube.
Can be used as a protection against debris and weather as well.
