KKL Lifting Keys are used to attach the crane hook, lifting slings or chains to the KK Lifting Insert cast into the concrete element. KK Lifting Keys are designed for all load directions.
KKL Lifting Keys can be used with all of the KK Lifting System’s insert types without limitation. The KK Lifting System has a color code on KRC Recess Items and a load class marking on the anchor head that defines which KKL Lifting Key fits which insert. Standard lifting keys are always delivered electro-galvanized. The safe use of the KK Lifting System requires the KKL Lifting Key and the insert to fit properly together.
KKL Lifting Keys are designed for quick and reliable coupling and releasing by linking the embedded lifting insert with the lifting slings or hooks. KKL Lifting Keys can be used together with all KK Long and Short Inserts, and all load directions between 0° and 90° are permitted. KKL Lifting Keys enable all kinds of lifting operations (lifting, turning, rotating and tilting up).
Comprehensive product information like resistances, required supplementary reinforcement, concrete grades, limitations of use etc. can be found within the Technical Manual. Product details may be country-specific. For design, always use product information that is localized for design's destination country. Country specific Technical Manuals can be found under Design Tools -page, or from website of the country in question.
The KK Lifting System has a range of KK Lifting Accessories for installation. KK Lifting Accessories support the application of KK Lifting System components. Installation items make it easy to install and fix the inserts into the mold.
KK Lifting Inserts are cast into concrete elements and they act as counterparts for KK Lifting Keys. KK Long Inserts are ideal for all types of lifting operation and are commonly used in thin or very thin elements with sufficient anchoring depth.
